I became a Customer of Calico many years ago and received brilliant help and service during the ensuing years. When Calico became part of Hostworld I was concerned the service might not be as good but I am very happy to say that the staff are as good as ever. I had a problem setting up the e-mail facility on my new mobile phone and Darren Summers responded promptly with clear and full instructions on what I needed to do. Very helpful in transferring a new website which was more complicated than expected but the support was quick to respond and excellent.

Hostworld after one year

Hostworld have been hosting a VPS for me for one year now following the collapse of my previous hosting provider. I have had no problems whatsoever with their service and communication of service downtime for maintenance - which has been minimal. I can recommend Hostworld for personal VPS hosting without reservation.

Long may it continue

It has been over 20 years of working with the same local people who understand the demands of living in rural Scotland. Gold dust! Any issues are dealt with promptly, efficiently and kindly.

Hostworld have been extremely helpful with hosting the website and email services for Yes Dunbar. They are particularly good at handing .scot domains. We have had a number of technical issues that we have had to raise and everything has been resolved satisfactorily. We love the way they respond promptly to emails raising support questions - and the responses come from people who properly understand what they are saying.

24 years, still counting

I joined the Calico network 24 years ago. Since then Kirsty and the team have looked after me, helping when needed. When Calico and Hostworld merged the excellent service continued, long may it continue.

Hardly Noticed, which is what we want

Been with these guys and their ancestor companies for a decade now. Usually not noticeable as service is just provided for a very reasonable price. Occasional problems (<1/year) quickly and pleasantly dealt with. Tolerant technical support to my questions about cPanel etc.

Reliable VPS hosting

I've been using Hostworld to provide a VPS since the collapse of a previous provider in early 2025. The service has been excellent from the outset with support answering my queries promptly and the service availability has been first rate for the cost.

You're in safe hands

I transferred my accounts to the team at Hostworld Internet and I have not been disappointed in any way. The transition was smooth and well handled and I was kept in the loop every step of the way. The team was also there at any time I needed it. A really positive experience all round and one that I could highly recommend, confirming that the team rightly deserve this five-star review.

The support team at Hostworld are second to none. When I've had queries or problems the response has been prompt and quickly sorted - even when it's been down to my own ignorance rather than a technical issue. Thoroughly recommended.

Good customer service and value for money products

I know I've left a review before but this is an update. Recently I was looking to upgrade my VPS again when I noticed I was already paying the price for the higher spec VPS instead of my current one. I queried this with the Billing Dept. and they apologised, looked into my payment history and found I'd over-payed for a number of months. They issued me a refund for all overpayments and advised how to amend my PayPal payment plan to stop it happening again. You really get to know how good a company is by how they react when something goes wrong. Hostworld passed with flying colours! I asked one question and they tidied it all up without any hassle. Yet again I'm really impressed with my interaction with Hostworld. Happy to recommend them!

Long term problem resolved quickly

A long term problem that was causing aggravation was resolved quickly. I cannot believe how quickly the problem was fixed. Also I was kept informed as to progress. I am so grateful.

18 month review of VPS performance/service

I have had a VPS with Hostworld for a little over 18 mths.so a valid time period for a review. On both a VPS performance level and provider service level I would rate them 5/5.

Lightning-fast support from David Mitchell — what a bloke! I'm completely new to VPS hosting — I've only ever hosted servers through my own router at home — so I expected a bit of a learning curve. But when I ran into issues bodging my VPS setup (oops), David Mitchell from the support team stepped in like an absolute legend. 😄 He replied to my support ticket within two minutes (seriously, TWO minutes), and had my VPS back up and running in about five to ten minutes tops. That kind of speed and competence is unheard of in most IT support teams — usually you're waiting hours for someone to misunderstand your issue. Not here. There was one moment where I felt a bit left in the dark — I got a short, slightly unrelated copy-paste response — but looking back, I get it. He was probably knee-deep fixing the VPS itself, and wasn’t wasting time chatting when he could be solving. And he did solve it. Fast. I’ve genuinely never dealt with an IT company where the support actually understands IT on a technical level. If you're considering a VPS or any of hostworld's products — do it. The support is top tier, the server runs great, and honestly I can’t fault the service. Thanks again, David — legend. <3

Excellent Support

Only been with Hostworld for a few months now but the level of support we have got from them has been amazing. Some of the requirements I had for a VPS changed and Hostworld accommodated us which really helped us. Would recommend them to anyone with any VPS requirements.

Four months in using HostWorld Windows VPS servers and the service continues to be very good. Most importantly support tickets are actioned incredibly quickly so when things don't work as they should (which is very rarely ... although it did happen today) their technical support team can be relied on to put them right (in this case within an hour of my report). That's the most important thing I need in a service provider.

Absolutely fantastic customer service by Kirsty, who listened, understood the issue and then provided a solution. Kirsty even followed up on a Saturday to ensure that all was working well. Excellent.

Have been under the wing of Hostworld since they took over Cali.co.uk. I was with Cali for some 20 plus years. To date any issues I have had have been resolved speedily and in the same friendly manner that I always received from the team, lead by Kirsty Pryer at Cali.co.uk. On this occasion it was Darren who sorted things in the same manner.

So far Hostworld have been responsive and reliable both in their invoicing and when I need a little advice or help. It's much appreciated that I get a quick response time when I need it.

Quick and extremely helpful reply, had all the settings needed. Within 24 hours, I was able to view club's email inbox and set up as an other account on my personal outlook.

I first started with Hostworld over 7 years ago. The hosting is very stable and very cost wise. If I ever need help or advise the customer support is one of the best. I am still with HostWorld today.
