57 locations · 45 countries
No tiered plans, no features held back for the expensive tier, no two-year lock-in to get the headline price. You get everything for £4.99 a month.
Hop between London, Amsterdam, New York, Tokyo and dozens more as often as you like. Changing location takes seconds and costs nothing.
Our nodes sit on 1 and 10 Gbps ports with unlimited bandwidth. There is no fair-use throttle waiting to slow you down at the end of the month.
We do not record the sites you visit, the addresses you connect to, or what you download. There is no browsing history for us to hand over, because we never keep one.
Phones, tablets, laptops and desktops all count against the same plan. Cover the whole household without buying a second subscription.
OpenVPN (UDP and TCP), IKEv2 and L2TP/IPsec: open, well-understood protocols with strong encryption, not a proprietary black box.
The same UK-based team that runs our hosting platform answers VPN tickets. No offshore script-reading, no chatbot loop.
Most VPN sites quote a number and leave it there. Here is the actual list: 57 locations across 45 countries, all included in the one price.
Network snapshot taken July 2026. Locations are added and retired from time to time; the live list always sits in your account dashboard.
Included as standard
There is no upgrade path here, because there is nothing above it to upgrade to.
Every location listed on this page is included, with no premium tier of better servers held back.
Phones, tablets, laptops and desktops all connect at the same time under a single account.
No monthly cap and no fair-use throttle waiting for you at the end of the billing period.
The nodes sit on fast links, so the tunnel is rarely the slowest part of your connection.
The most widely supported protocol there is, with TCP as a fallback for restrictive networks that block UDP.
Built into most phones and laptops already, so you can connect without installing anything at all.
We do not record the sites you visit or what you download, so there is no history for us to hand over.
Permitted on our network for lawful use, with no throttling applied to large transfers.
Change city as often as you like at no extra cost, with no daily limit and no premium tier of better servers.
The same in-house team that runs our hosting platform answers the VPN tickets.
Tell us inside the first 30 days and we refund your first payment without an argument.
Billed monthly with no minimum term, so you can stop whenever you decide you are done.
There is no server to build and nothing to configure. You are buying a finished service, not a box of parts.
Check out in a couple of minutes. Your VPN credentials are issued to your Hostworld client area as soon as the order completes.
Use our client on Windows, macOS, Android or iOS, or drop the OpenVPN profile straight into the VPN client you already use.
Sign in, choose a city from the list and connect. Switch to a different country whenever you want. There is no limit and no extra charge.
Hotel, airport, cafe and campus networks are shared with strangers and often poorly maintained. A VPN wraps everything leaving your device in an encrypted tunnel, so whoever else is on that network sees traffic they cannot read. If you regularly work from anywhere other than your own desk, this alone is the reason to run one.
Plenty of business tools and admin panels are restricted to known addresses. Connecting through a fixed location gives you a consistent, predictable route out to the internet wherever you happen to be sitting that week. Useful for contractors, consultants and anyone who travels with a laptop.
Your internet provider can see every domain you look up. So can the operator of whatever network you are borrowing. A VPN moves that visibility off their network, and because we keep no logs, it does not simply move it to ours instead.
Services behave differently depending on where you appear to be connecting from, and some networks abroad are considerably more restrictive than what you are used to at home. Connecting back through a UK location gives you a familiar route out while you are away. Please do check the local law wherever you are travelling, because VPN use is restricted in a small number of countries.
P2P is allowed on our network and bandwidth is unlimited, so large legitimate transfers (backups, disk images, distribution of your own files) are not throttled or counted against a cap. We do expect you to stay on the right side of copyright law and our acceptable use policy.
Ten simultaneous connections is enough for a family or a small team. Everyone gets their own protected connection under one £4.99 subscription rather than a separate account each.
We sell both, and they solve different problems. This page is the managed personal VPN: an account, a client, a list of locations. If what you actually want is a server you control that happens to run VPN software, that is a UK VPS, and you should buy that instead.

The honest version
Plenty of VPNs advertise a low monthly figure that only applies if you commit to two or three years up front. Ours is £4.99 a month, paid monthly, and that is the whole story: the same encryption, the same location list and the same support whether you stay a month or five years.
We are a UK hosting company first. The VPN runs alongside a platform we already operate and support around the clock, which means we are not carrying the marketing budget of a standalone consumer VPN brand, and you are not paying for it either.
What we will not do is pretend the service is something it is not. It is a personal VPN: it moves and encrypts your traffic and hides your home address from the sites you visit. It is not anonymity, it is not a licence to break the law, and no VPN on the market is either. If a provider tells you otherwise, be suspicious of everything else they say too.
The same UK-based in-house team that looks after our hosting customers handles VPN tickets. These are our actual numbers, not a marketing promise.

Yes. We operate a strict no-logs policy, which means we do not track, log or store your online activity. There is no browsing history attached to your account, so there is nothing for us to lose, sell or be compelled to produce.
There are currently 57 locations across 45 countries, and the full list is published on this page rather than hidden behind a signup. Connections use OpenVPN (UDP and TCP), IKEv2 and L2TP/IPsec, all fully encrypted, on servers with 1 and 10 Gbps ports.
It is a ready-to-use personal VPN, not a server you manage. You install the client, sign in and choose a location. There is nothing to configure or maintain at the server level. If you would rather run your own VPN on hardware you control, you want a UK VPS instead.
Slightly, and unavoidably. Your traffic is being encrypted and routed via another city, so it has further to travel. In practice the difference on a nearby location such as London or Amsterdam is small enough that most people do not notice it during normal browsing or streaming. Connecting to the other side of the world will always cost you more latency than connecting to the other side of the country.
Windows, macOS, Android and iOS are all covered by our client apps, and because we use standard protocols you can also connect from Linux, routers and anything else that speaks OpenVPN, IKEv2 or L2TP/IPsec. Up to 10 devices can be connected at the same time on one account.
Yes. Location switching is unlimited and included. There is no daily cap and no premium tier of "better" servers. Pick a different city as often as you want.
Yes. Everything travelling through the tunnel is encrypted using industry-standard protocols. This matters most on networks you do not control, such as hotel, airport and cafe Wi-Fi, where other people on the same network would otherwise be able to observe your traffic.
Yes, P2P is permitted and bandwidth is unlimited, so large transfers are not throttled or capped. That permission covers lawful use only. Our acceptable use policy and UK copyright law still apply, and a no-logs policy is not an invitation to ignore them.
£4.99 per month, billed monthly, with everything included: all 57 locations, all protocols, 10 devices and unlimited bandwidth. There are no add-ons, no setup fee and no long contract required to get that price.
There is no minimum term. Cancel from your client area at any time and the service runs to the end of the period you have paid for. New accounts are also covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee, so if it is not for you, tell our support team inside the first 30 days and we will refund your first payment. The full terms are in our terms of service.
One plan, everything included, cancel whenever you like.
