Registering a domain in your Hostworld account

Log in to https://portal.hostworld.uk, click Register a New Domain, search your name, choose a registration period, set nameservers to ns1.serverworld.uk, ns2.serverworld.uk, ns3.serverworld.uk and ns4.serverworld.uk, enter accurate registrant contact details, then pay. As soon as your invoice shows Paid, WHMCS submits the registration and the domain will turn Active in your Hostworld account.

Before you start

• Access to your Hostworld client area at https://portal.hostworld.uk.
• A working email address you can access now. The registrar will send a verification message to the registrant email.
• Decide your nameservers. For Hostworld hosting use ns1.serverworld.uk, ns2.serverworld.uk, ns3.serverworld.uk and ns4.serverworld.uk.

Step 1: Start a search in your Hostworld client area

Sign in at https://portal.hostworld.uk. On the Client Area dashboard, click Register a New Domain. If you do not see the panel, open the order form in the cart and choose the register option. This is the WHMCS domain order flow.

Step 2: Check availability and choose a registration period

Enter the name you want on the Register Domain page. WHMCS checks availability and shows pricing. Pick the registration period in years. WHMCS stores the term in whole years and respects the industry cap of 10 years for gTLDs. If a domain already has years on it, the maximum renewal offered next time will keep the total at or below 10 years.

Step 3: Set nameservers for Hostworld hosting

During checkout, WHMCS shows nameservers. We set defaults, and you can change them. To point the domain at Hostworld hosting, enter these values exactly:

• ns1.serverworld.uk
• ns2.serverworld.uk
• ns3.serverworld.uk
• ns4.serverworld.uk

A typo or a non-existent hostname will stop DNS from resolving.

Step 4: Enter accurate registrant contact details

WHMCS sends your domain contact data to the registrar and registry for WHOIS or RDDS. By default the same contact is used for Registrant, Admin, Tech and Billing unless you change it. Use your legal name, a valid postal address, and an email account you can access immediately.

Accuracy is required under ICANN rules. After a new registration or a change to the registrant’s name, organisation or email, the registrar must obtain a positive verification within about 15 days. Failure to verify can result in suspension. If you later change the registrant name, organisation or email, ICANN Transfer Policy can trigger a 60‑day transfer lock. WHMCS shows warnings before you confirm such changes.

Step 5: Review and pay the invoice

Confirm the cart and proceed to payment. WHMCS does not submit the registration until the invoice is marked Paid in your Hostworld account. When payment completes, WHMCS sends the register request to the configured registrar for that TLD.

Step 6: Watch status and complete verification

In your Hostworld client area, the order is created as Pending. The domain itself will switch to Active after a successful register call. Expect a verification email from the registrar at the registrant address. Open it and follow the link to validate within the required window to avoid suspension.

If it does not work

• Nameserver errors or “No Nameservers Are Defined”: Enter valid hostnames. For Hostworld hosting use exactly ns1.serverworld.uk, ns2.serverworld.uk, ns3.serverworld.uk and ns4.serverworld.uk. Recheck spelling and remove extra spaces.
• Contact data rejected: Remove special characters the TLD does not allow and complete all required fields. For IDNs, include the required language or script option if prompted. Then resubmit.
• Order stuck after payment: Confirm the domain invoice shows Paid. If it does and the domain does not progress to Active, or you did not receive the verification email, open a support ticket so we can check the registrar response.
