With the developments in technology and the increased use of netbooks, smartphones and ipads we’ve been finding that Calico UK customers are finding some of our mail services a bit restrictive in terms of size. Emails are becoming larger as people are sending larger attachments. Also more and more people wish to leave mail on the server using IMAP mail access methods rather than POP access so that the mail is accessible wherever you may be.

We’ve listened to what you want and developed a new 1GB mail service called Ultracali Mail. We’ll be incorporating this into our web hosting packages in the future, including adding new packages on our website, but we wanted to make this available to existing customers first.

If you wanted to get a large mail quota using our previous Windows based mail services, a 1GB mailbox would work out at £500 + VAT pa. The good news is that the new Ultracali Mail accounts will come in at the lower level of £120 + VAT pa, with upgrades of 1GB increments at the same thereafter. That equates to just £10 a month. Depending on existing services, a discount against the current mail provision would be given when converting over.

The Mail services will be hosted on Windows 2008 servers running RAID disk systems with full backup to minimise failure or downtime so you can rest easy that your mail is safe. Plus our team are always on hand to assist with any support queries you may have. There will be 2 interfaces to webmail (plain text or HTML), along with the standard POP and IMAP methods being supported. Secure SSL connections are also available.
