Good news – we’ve been given what we believe is the final timetable for the release of .scot domain names.

The ‘Sunrise’ phase (which is aimed at large companies with Trademarks to protect) will start on Tuesday July 15th. Companies wanting to enter this phase normally have to have their trademarks registered Trademarks Clearinghouse, and will pay a premium price to get their domains registered.

General registration (for the rest of us) opens on Tuesday 23rd September. So if you are thinking of taking out a .scot domain, you’ve only a few weeks left to decide on which domain name to try for and to let us know so that we can try to obtain it for you as soon as registration opens.

No price details have been issued yet, but as soon as we have more information we’ll let you know.
