Many of our customers use the WordPress content management system for their website designs. We asked some of them why they chose this particular system. Here’s what the Mankind Initiative said:

The ManKind Initiative is the leading, expert and principal charity in the UK focussed on supporting male victims of domestic abuse. We provide a national helpline that receives 2,500 calls per year, run accredited training for organisations like police forces and also campaign to ensure the voices of male victims are heard. We also advise the Government on how best to support them.

A fundamental tool for our work is our website with over 130,000 unique visitors every year. It works for us in a number of ways. Firstly for providing key information for victims, but also it provides a central home for our fundraising, our training services and our policy work.

The advantage of it being built on WordPress is that is really easy to maintain, to design, update and to add new features, including plug ins. WordPress allows for new pages and information to be uploaded easily and quickly, and that is a real bonus for a small charity like ours who does not have in-house digital communications professionals. We regularly are commended by the intuitive navigation and the quality of it the content and a key reason for this is because it is on WordPress.
