The STEM badge was awarded to Kirsty for 30 hours of engagement with children of all ages. Kirsty is very keen to encourage children into IT or computer related subject and ongoing career choices and has given her time and experience whenever possible. This has included mock interviews at Fortrose Academy, robot activities with girl guides and Lego competitions, to name a few activities.
Kirsty says, 'It's been fantastic to work with young people over this last year, I'm often bowled over by their enthusiasm! Unfortunately, the lockdown has curtailed further activities for a while, but I'm looking forward to getting back involved with schools and youth groups again soon.'
