WordPress is a free content management system that simplifies the design and creation of websites. We thought you might like an insight from some of our customers as to why they chose it for their sites. Here’s what Julia Wherrel and Joanna Sheen had to say…

Swaddlecombe is the home of a series of light-hearted ‘whodunnits’ by two Devon-based authors. It is a fictional village, a sleepy place nestled somewhere deep in the south Devon countryside where nothing much happens – or does it? 

The books have garnered a strong following and we wanted to engage with our readers and tell them a little more about the characters and their surroundings. We’ve also included brief biographies about ourselves

The main aim of the website is to sell more books and there are synopses of each book plus direct links to purchase either paperback or Kindle copies.

WordPress is user-friendly and we were able to produce the site quickly and easily.  It’s very simple, but it does what we want with an e-newsletter sign up form and links to our Facebook pages.
